Description
English: Roman copper alloy zoomorphic brooch, 13.25mm long, 8.81mm wide, 2.65 mm thick.

The object is in a fair condition and weighs 0.5 grms.This is a fragment of a plate brooch representing the back-end of a hare. The brooch shows a hare facing right, it has a triangular protrusion portraying the tail and is missing its leg. The fragment is filled by an incomplete empty oval shaped enamel cell representing the animals back leg. The reverse is flat with a rectangular casting scar suggesting the presence of a semi-circular lug.
