Roman enamelled plate brooch
Description
English: Copper alloy enamelled flat disc brooch with a cross motif. Missing sprung pin, damaged margins, catchplate and pin lug. Traces of corrosion and probable white metal layer on central dot and cell divisions. Equal armed cross shape around the central dot contains traces of orange paste and is set at an angle to the pin line. Both the arcs behind the cross and an outer concentric band contain black enamel. Diameter 23mm. Similar design but smaller than WMH 005 KP 66.
