Description |
English: An incomplete Roman hairpin, with a collared globular terminal (diameter 7mm), spool and square-section baluster framed by collars and with an engraved saltire on all four faces (length of head 16mm). The circular-sectioned shank is slightly bent, and the point is missing. Length >73mm. Not paralleled in Cool (1990). 2nd-4th century AD. |
