Title |
Roman harness link (probably) |
||
Description |
English: An incomplete copper-alloy artefact which is probably part of a Roman harness link (cf. PAS record BH-7A7DD3). The 'U-shaped' projection located at one end probably represents a loop which has been worn through use. The shaft is of sub-circular section and there is a moulded ring, defined by grooves, at the point where it meets the loop. At the opposite end of the shaft is adhering iron corrosion. The artefact measures 36mm long, 20.9mm wide and 15.5mm thick. The weight is 31.61g. |
