Description |
English: Roman Type 1 lead sling-shot. Several similar sling-shots have previously been recovered from this farm and are published in Britannia Vol. XVIII (See S.J. Greep, 1987, pp. 183-200). The cast object is bi-conical in form, tapering towards the ends, where there are slight depressions. The object measures 31.5mm long, 19.2mm wide, 16.6mm thick and it weighs 44.7g. |
