English: 1. 338g of Roman sherds, mostly greyware sherds from jars. Also one sherd of orange mortarium.
2. One small Bronze Age sherd. Wt 1.4g. 3. Seven medieval sherds (1 shell tempered, 1 coarse border ware). 4. One sherd of possible floor tile. Grey/brown sandy ware 21mm thick, possibly 13th century. Wt 30.68g. 5. Three sherds of 16/17th century white ware. One green- glazed strap handle; one green-glazed bowl rim; one yellow- glazed sherd. Wt 36.72g. |
