Title
Roman zoomorphic brooch
Description
English: Roman copper alloy zoomorphic brooch, 15.7mm long, 10.47mm wide, 4.52mm thick. The object is in a fair condition and it weighs 0.91 grams.

It is a fragment of a plate brooch portraying the front part of a hare. The hare, pointing right, has one short fore leg and is missing part of its ear and the back-end. Starting from the right, the first visible feature is the eye, formed by a dot-in-ring motif, which fills most of the head. The body contains two empty enamel cells; both are trapezoidal in form but the second one is incomplete. On the reverse side, which is flat, only the protuding base of the catch plate is present.
