English: An incomplete copper alloy zoomorphic (eagle) plate brooch. The head is turned to the right with a small beak and small circular depression for the eye. The neck is curved. The body, flanked by the wings, is similarly recessed and expands into a fanned tail. At the base of the tail is a broken, slightly off-centre, loop. At the back behind the head is the stub of the catch plate. Behind the tail is one complete and one broken pierced lug for the attachment of an axis bar for a hinged pin mechanism. No traces of the enamel remain.
