Description
Nederlands: Lithografie van archeologische vondsten uit Maastricht en omgeving: fragment van een sarcofaag (door Titus Panhuysen later geïdentificeerd als twee worstelaar of atleten; de 'knuppel' is in werkelijkheid een arm), een ornament en een zilveren amfoor, gevonden in Neerharen. In de rechter bovenhoek: P. VI (plaat 6). De oorspronkelijke tekening is gemaakt door de Maastrichtse kunstenaar, architect, stadsbouwmeester en liefhebber van oudheden Mathieu (Mathias) Hermans (1789-1842). Hermans maakte de tekeningen voor Romeinsche oudheden te Maastricht, in 1843 gepubliceerd door de Leidse archeoloog C. Leemans. Lithografie door Hooiberg Steendrukkerij, Leiden. 28,4 x 22,5 cm. Collectie Rijksmuseum Amsterdam.
