| Description |
English: Seen in October 2022 is Round Man, a 1967 work of local sculptor Larry Griffis that was installed earlier the same month at its new temporary location at the Bell Slip of Buffalo, New York's Outer Harbor. Part of a group of seven sculptures commissioned by Kissing Bridge Ski Resort, this 20-foot, 2,500-pound surrealist figure in Mayari R Cor-Ten rod steel was later moved to the Griffis Sculpture Park in nearby Cattaraugus County. On loan to the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation for two years, the sculpture replaces Flat Man, another from the Kissing Bridge commission, which stood at the same site for the two previous years and has now been returned to the sculpture park. |
