Summary[edit]

Description
English: Pictured are members of 45 Commando’s Mortar Troop preparing to fire the 81mm Mortar.

On Salisbury Plain, Can-Am 6x6 Outlander vehicles have been trialled for use in the deployment of Mortars in the Battlespace.

The vehicles (a six wheeled quad bike) offer speed and load carrying in a small package and mean a separate trailer is not required to be attached to a conventional quad.

The Outlander can tow 750 kg and the tilt assist cargo box is capable of carrying over 300kg.
