Português: São Sebastião, padroeiro secundário do Funchal. Madeira entalhada e policromada, 114 cm. Proveniente da capela camarária de São Sebastião, onde figurava como um dos padroeiros da cidade do Funchal, foi transferido com outras imagens, em procissão, para a capela de Santiago, também camarária, hoje matriz de Santa Maria Maior, em janeiro de 1803, altura em que a referida capela foi demolida. Localizámo-lo em meados de 1985, na torre da mesma igreja, incorporando então o acervo do Museu da Cidade e depois, o Núcleo Museológico da Cidade do Açúcar, à nova Praça de Colombo, em 2016 em remontagem, dada a aluvião de 20 de fevereiro de 2010. |
