Português: Rita Rodrigues e Paulo Ladeira, São Tiago Menor: Querubim divino armado. 500 anos de Devoção, História e Património na Madeira, Funchal, parceria entre a Diocese do Funchal, a Secretaria Regional de Turismo e Cultura, através da Direção Regional da Cultura, e da Câmara Municipal do Funchal, 2021, ilha da Madeira Pormenor do antigo retábulo de Santiago Maior, mas depois utilizado no Funchal como São Tiago Menor, óleo sobre madeira de carvalho, 107 x 42 cm.; Dieric Bouts, o Velho (atr.), (c. 1415-1475), 1470 (c.), proveniente da sé do Funchal, de onde transitou para a igreja camarária de Santiago Menor, Funchal, por volta de 1530, hoje no Museu de Arte Sacra do Funchal (MASF 28), ilha da Madeira. Dirck Bouts ou Dieric Bouts (Harlem, 1415 a 1420; Louvaina, 1475). Pintor que teria frequentado os ateliers de Jan van Eyck e Rogier van der Weyden, trabalhou assim em Bruges e em Antuérpia, deslocando-se depois para Louvaina, onde foi pintor da cidade a partir de 1468. Casou-se com Catarina van der Brugghen, de quem teve dois filhos, igualmente ligados à pintura e foi o primeiro pintor flamengo a usar o ponto de fuga para perspectiva, como se comprova na Última Ceia, de 1464 a 1467, incluída no retábulo do Santíssimo Sacramento de Louvaina.
