The original finding aid described this as: Description: With payload bay doors (PLBDs) open vertical tail and orbital maneuvering system (OMS) appear above payload bay (PLB) experiments and equipment including: (forward to aft) Development Flight Instrumentation (DFI) pallet with heat pipe experiment, evaluation of oxygen interaction with materials (EOIM) experiment trays, advanced flexible reusable surface insulation (AFRSI) blankets, and Thermal Protection System (TPS) low temperature reusable surface insulation (LRSI) tiles; on port side get-away special (GAS) canister with U.S. Postal Service special Philatelic covers and stowed remote manipulator system (RMS); and in background Payload Flight Test Article (PFTA) forward screen with its trunnions secured on port and starboard side longerons in orbiter active latch guides.
