Description
English: The signatures on the thermal-space-blanket signed by U.S. Air Force, U.S. Space Force, Lockheed Martin Space, and Aerospace Corporation personnel, during the thermal “Space Blanket” signing ceremony, at Los Angeles Air Force Base, Space Systems Center (SSC), in El Segundo, Calif., March 24, 2022. The space blanket will protect sensitive components inside the sixth Space Based Infrared System Geosynchronous Earth Orbit (SBIRS GEO-6) satellite from extreme temperature changes during its life-span around Earth’s orbit.
