Title
SOM-CD4D10: Mesolithic to early Neolithic blades and microblades x 4 (dorsal)
Description
English: 4 flint blades and microblades of probable Mesolithic to early Neolithic date. All tertiary flakes.

1. Length: 30.88mm, Width: 13.90mm, Thickness: 8.02mm, Weight: 2.48g
Soft hammer. Possible signs of platform preparation. Sub-triangular in cross-section, with a high central ridge on the dorsal face. The flint is grey-brown in colour with a thick, patchy, milky patina.

Hard hammer. Three long, thin flaking scars on the dorsal face. Totally recoticated surface. Possible limited retouch to the right edge (maybe a crude microdenticulate?), but could also just be plough damage.

Soft hammer. Two long, thin flaking scars on the dorsal face. Small amounts of plough damage to both edges. Grey-brown flint with a slight, speckled, milky patina.

4. Length: 19.18mm, Width: 9.68mm, Thickness: 2.89mm, Weight: 0.51g
Hard hammer. Three long, thin flaking scars on the dorsal face. The flint is grey in colour with a milky patina.
