The original finding aid described this as: Description: STS-82 Pilot Scott Horowitz, seated in the forward flight deck station, hand fashions loop cord fasteners for Hubble Space Telescope (HST) Multilayer Insulation (MLI) patches which will be installed on an upcoming Extravehicular Activity (EVA) (001-4). Very dark view of the flight deck with only the overhead windows visible (005-6). Mission Specialist Steve Smith poses at the aft flight deck with Shark Bay Australia visible in the window (007-8). Mission Specialist Steve Hawley poses in the aft flight deck with Shark Bay visible in the overhead window (009-11). These frames are fogged due to radiation.
