Español: La obra representa a San Bruno de Colonia con el hábito cartujo y la estrella en el pecho en el centro de la composición, de rodillas, con los brazos abiertos y en actitud de oración e iluminado por un haz de luz que viene del cielo, ángulo superior izquierdo. A la izquierda, de unas rocas, mana agua. El paisaje, muy abierto, deja ver unas masas de arbustos a la derecha, si bien, el cielo con una nube que lo cruza de derecha a izquierda. La escena representa a San Bruno implorando al Cielo una solución ante la usencia de agua en el lugar elegido para la fundación de la Cartuja. Ante esta petición se produce el milagro de que mane agua de la roca.
