Description
Deutsch: Das Haus Schaadt in der Schloßstraße 4 in St. Wendel. Das Wohn- und Geschäftshaus wurde in der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts errichtet und war bis 2011 Sitz des Porzellan- und Haushaltswarengeschäfts Schaadt, das seit 1895 existierte. Das Gebäude gehört heute, zusammen mit drei benachbarten Altbauten und einem Neubau, zum Komplex des Neuen Rathauses von St. Wendel mit der Adresse Rathausplatz 1. Das Gebäude Schloßstraße 4 ist Bestandteil des denkmalgeschützten Ensembles Am Fruchtmarkt/Am Schloßplatz.
English: The House Schaadt at Schloßstraße No. 4 in St. Wendel. The residential and commercial building was constructed in the second half of the 19th century. Until 2011, it was seat of the china and houseware store Schaadt, which had existed since 1895. Together with three adjacent historic buildings and a new structure, it is now part of the New Town Hall of St. Wendel with the address Rathausplatz No. 1. The building Schloßstraße 4 is part of the protected historic buildings area Am Fruchtmarkt/Am Schloßplatz.
