Notes scales with horn pans; used by Keith Lamb Ltd, Chemist, Karangahape Rd, Auckland. The Newton Pharmacy, Auckland, was established in 1862 by T.P. Morgan under the trade name 'The Golden Mortar'. It had three more owners - J.H. Mutton, Arthur G. Kenderdine, John Kenderdine - until coming under the proprietorship of Albert Spencer James Lamb in 1898. In 1943 his son Keith took over the business and continued to be associated with it until 1978. He died in 1994, aged 87.
