English: This picture, in pencil, is Goddess AITVON ( or language greek : Αίτναn ), a ancient figure of greek mithology to which believed the people of Aitna or called AITNION. To this goddess , was quoted the nineth song, and the first twelveth rimes, of the Odes: "Nemean Pindar" . This was an Ode, for victory of Cromio, in the chariot race of the ancient city of Sicione. The goddess was pictured sitting next to the palm of victory in the chariot races. This picture was in a good, optical manifacure, printed of G.Gautier, a historian, in 1768 |
