Description
Deutsch: Schaltwerk nebst Cassette und Kettenblättern (48/32) eines Gravelbikes, dessen Shimano 105 11-fach-Schaltung (R5800) durch 11-42er Kassette, Schaltaugenerweiterung und den SGS-Käfig der Deore LX (T670) bzw. XT (T780) bergtauglich gemacht wurde. Die tatsächlich genutzte Kapazität stieg von 37Z (11-32er Cassette; nominelle Kapazität der 105 mit GS-Käfig) auf 47 (der SGS-Käfig hat nominell 45), die Kette wuchs um 6 Rollen von 108 auf 114, um bei groß/groß (48:42; rechts unten) nicht das Schaltwerk abzureißen.


Das Bild links oben zeigt die Konstellation klein/klein (32:11) mit maximaler freier Kettenlänge, das Bild rechts unten die Konstellation groß/groß (48:42) mit größter benötigter Kettenlänge. Von links nach rechts werden jeweils 15,5 Rollen aus dem Käfig freigegeben, da das Ritzel von 11 auf 42Z ansteigt. Von oben nach unten sind es jeweils 8 Rollen, da das Kettenblatt von 32 auf 48Z wächst. (Es muss immer nur etwa die Hälfte der Zahndifferenz freigegeben werden, da die Kette jeweils nur ungefähr auf einem Halbkreis anliegt). Rechts oben die Konstellation des leichtesten Ganges (klein/groß; 32:42), links unten die des schnellsten (groß/klein; 48:11).

Das Setting des Bildes ist identisch mit dem aus File:Shimano 105 R5800 mit SGS-Kaefig des Deore LX T670, Schaltaugenverlaengerung und 11-42er Cassette.jpg mit dem Unterschied, dass hier eine Schaltaugenerweiterung um 40 mm angebaut ist, in jenem Bild hingegen ein RoadLink-Nachbau (22 mm). Es hat sich indes erwiesen, dass die Schaltaugenerweiterung um 22 mm, eingebaut auf 7 Uhr, besser funktioniert, da so bei klein/klein die Spannfeder erst 30° später an ihren Anschlag kommt und mehr Spannung an der Kette anliegt.
