Description
Deutsch: Der Dolomitkarst bei Scharzfeld (Harz) weißt eine Vielzahl an Geotopen auf. Hier ist auf dem Schulberg ein Felsdach entstanden. Die Felsdächer werden auch "Abri" genannt, was im Französichen "Schutz" bzw. "Obdach" bedeutet. Die Abris entstehen durch die Verwitterung von Felsen, in denen sich eine Höhle befindet. Nach langer Verwitterungszeit bleibt noch das Felsdach als Rest einer ehemaligen Höhle übrig. Das Schulberg-Abri in Scharzfeld ist ein Steinartefakt der mittleren Steinzeit. Für die Nutzung des Abri durch Steinzeitmenschen als Schutz spricht das Fundmaterial, das in Grabungen in diesem Bereich zum Vorschein kam.
