Summary

[edit]
Description A 1973 ECW bodied Bristol VRT/SL2 (reg. HKE 690L), pictured at the M&D 100 rally on the Kent County Showground in Detling. New to M&D as their No. 6690, it was one of the buses that passed into the fleet of Hastings & District when that company was created from a part of M&D - the conversion to an open topper dates from their ownership. After a number of later uses, it's seen here in the livery it wore as a promotional vehicle for the internet venture Magictaxi.co.uk. By the time of this appearance however, it was owned by vintage/private hire operator Seaford & District, who had bought it in October 2010. As the posters illustrate, it has subsequently been restored and painted in Seaford & District livery, for use in their heritage/open top fleet.
