Title |
Seal Matrix: Monkey holding owl |
||
Description |
English: Recorded from impression and owner's description, matrix unseen. A copper alloy matrix with circular face and hexagonal handle.
Device: (Described from impression.) A seated monkey in profile, facing right, an owl perched on its right hand. Left hand reaches behind monkey's own back. Impression is too shallow to show any detail on the monkey's head or on the bird. A neat line encircles the device area, and a similar line is visible around the outer edge of the matrix face. Measurements: Approximately 14.5 mm diameter. |
