Description
English: Seated god from the 6th Temple at Hatra, Iraq, flanked by 2 lionesses. His attire is similar to that wore by Hatrene kings and princes. The eyes were made of shells and bitumen and there was a gold ring around the iris. 2nd-3rd century CE. Iraq Museum, Baghdad, Iraq.
