Description
English: Second Lieutenant Armando Console and a young girl at an exhibition of naval photographs at Princes' Hall, Piccadilly, London. Console had served as an official war photographer for the British Army in France in 1918 until he was wounded and lost a leg. This photograph of him in army uniform with crutches is likely to have been taken in either late 1918 or ealy 1919 as it is marked by IWM as part of the official war photography collection (the key peace treaties ending the war for the UK were signed in 1919).
