English: The Khorassan earthquake of 1968. A team of UNESCO experts was sent to the spot to study the damage in connection with design of earthquake-resistant buildings. Here, seismologists of the UNESCO mission study the after-shocks of the Khorassan earthquake, alongside the tent containing equipment linking to out stations by radio to the central recording unit. In this way, it is possible to take bearings and pin-point the source of the shocks deep underground.
