Silver Viking memorial penny of St Edmund, obverse
Description
English: A silver Viking penny dating from the very late 9th century to the early 10th century, between circa 895 and 910 AD. The coin is a memorial coinage of St Eadmund, a memorial coinage struck by Danish settlers. The moneyer is Albert or Aoarert. The coin is damaged, missing a third of it's legend, but is otherwise in good condition. North reference 483. EMC 2006.0086
