Summary

Description

IAA Frankfurt 2019

Smart launched the revamped Fortwo and Forfour range. From now on it only comes with electric drivetrains, versions with petrol engines have been axed from the lineup. The Fortwo and Forfour have received new front and rear bumpers and lost their upper front grille. Sadly Smart's parent company Daimler AG (Mercedes-Benz) didn't bother to update its battery, which still has a capacity of 17.6 kWh and NEDC range of up to 159 kilometres (or around 100 km according to the WLTP cycle), well short of the updated electric Volkswagen Up and new Seat Mii and Skoda Citigo.
