Nederlands: Het sociale beleid van de EU is volledig ondergesneeuwd geraakt door het financieel-economische beleid, de balans moet hersteld worden stelt Sonja Bekker, universitair docent Europees sociaal beleid Tilburg University.
De reductie van armoede is een belangrijke doelstelling van de Europa 2020 Strategie, en die gaat niet gehaald worden omdat er geen ruimte meer is voor investeringen in werk en mensen. Duitsland heeft tegen de zin van de Europese Commissie een ruimer pensioenstelsel gekregen, als onderdeel van de armoedebestrijding. Nederland wordt kritisch bezien door de invoering van de Participatiewet, wat doet dat met de kansen van kwetsbare groepen op de arbeidsmarkt. |
