Summary[edit]

Description
English: The south end of the Strecker Memorial Laboratory at the east side of Southpoint Park, at East Road south of South Loop Road at approximately Manhattan 53rd Street in the southern half of Roosevelt Island, Manhattan. Originally constructed in 1892, the building has been rebuilt to serve as a substation for the adjacent IND 53rd Street subway tunnel underneath the island and East River.
