Spearhead fragment tip end image
Description
English: Fragment of Bronze Age Socketed Spear. The fragment has a central oval socket with breaks at both ends. One end is broken away in to the centre of the rim. It is trapezoid in plan with an oval mid rib. Approx 25mm from the tip end.Its widest end is 28mm and tapers to 16.4mm and the tip end socket width is 6mm. A similar example can be seen on the database in the Burnham hoard: <a href="../../database/artefacts/record/id/504010">ESS-A2E203</a>. c. 1000-800 BC.
