Ball-and-stick model of the square planar [PtCl4]2− ion as found in the crystal structure of 4-methylpyridinium tetrachloroplatinate(II), (4-MePyH)2[PtCl4], determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and reported in Chem. Commun. (2005) 2457-2458 (CSD entry TANDES).
