Description
Deutsch: Das Cramerkreuz in St. Margarethen im Burgenland wurde 1677 vermutlich vom Stifter Hans Wohlrab errichtet. Die auf einer barocken Weinlaubsäule stehende Madonnenstatue wurde 1935 bei einem Absturz und 1945 bei Kampfhandlungen schwer beschädigt. Bei den Restaurierungen 1935, 1949 und 1985 wurden Kopf und Hände der Maria sowie das Jesuskind gänzlich erneuert. Auf einem Engel-Spruchband ist ein Bibelspruch aus dem Hohelied Salomos (lateinisch: „Canticum Canticorum“) zu lesen. Näheres siehe PDF, 4,7 MB, Seite 20.
