Tua 300 metr i'r de-ddwyrain o'r gaer 'Bryn y Cawr' ar Fryn Meiriadog saif eglwys fechan y Santes Fair, sy wedi'i chofrestru'n adeilad Gradd II. Cafodd y cerrig eu cloddio o dir lle saif yr eglwys; fe'i hagorwyd a chysegrwyd yr eglwys ar 3 Medi 1864 gan yr Esgob Short, Llanelwy. Crëwyd y plwyf newydd "Cefn" ar 7 Chwefror 1865. Roedd yn cynnwys y ddwy drefgordd: Wigfair a Meiriadog (y ddwy yn Sir Ddinbych), a oedd tan hynny wedi bod ym mhlwyf Llanelwy.
