Summary[edit]

Description Another interesting Royal Arms. We have "GR" to suggest George I but the coat of arms still has has the arms of England and Scotland in the fourth quarter which is the arms for Queen Anne. Marked "GR" (Georgius Rex) for King George I but they are in fact the 1707-1714 arms of Queen Anne of Great Britain: Quarterly of 4: 1&4: England impaling Scotland; 2: France; 3: Ireland. The arms of King George I have in the 4th quarter the lesser arms of Hanover.
