Description
Nederlands: Beschrijving De doop van het vrachtpassagiersschip ms. Aagtekerk

Bouwnummer 226, gebouwd op de werf van de Nederlandsche Scheepsbouw Maatschappij (NSM), Cornelis Douwesweg 1, in opdracht van de Vereenigde Nederlandsche Scheepvaart Maatschappij. De doopster, mw. A.L.W. Berg-van Kretschmar; echtgenote van de directeur van de Directie- en Agentuur Maatschappij Holland Australie Lijn, jhr.mr. A.A.D. Berg, staat op het punt met een hamer het lint door te slaan. Midden op de foto de heer Willem de Vlugt, burgemeester van Amsterdam en links naast hem staat de burgemeester van Aagtekerke (Zeeland) dhr. J. Bosselaar en zijn zeeuwse kostuum.
