Summary[edit]

Description
English: The St. Augustine church in Paoay, Ilocos Norte is one of the UNESCO heritage churches in the Philippines. This church is very important in the country's architectural history as it is a classical example of Earthquake Baroque Architecture. The "Barouque-ness" of the architecture is due to the spanish influences in the country, and since we are in the ring of fire, the builders made sure that it will stand despite the frequent earthquakes in the country. Truly, this church is a monument of how we Filipinos can combine arts and practicality. This is something we can be proud of.
