Description
Français : Statuette pindi Mbala.
  • Figure féminine, avec une jarre pour transporter l'eau ; illustre l'activité des femmes allant chercher l'eau, accompagnées d'enfants.
  • Bois, pigments.
  • Acquise auprès de M. Verhaege (missionnaire jésuite) par le MRAC en 1949.
  • N° EO.1949.39.1.
  • La statuette faisait partie d'un ensemble de deux objets du même sculpteur, séparés au moment de la collecte, puis réunis au musée. La seconde statuette, une figure masculine, montre un musicien jouant du tambour sur une estrade.
  • Présentée au musée du quai Branly dans le cadre de l'exposition La Part de l'ombre.
