1916: 150-ton freight steamer BRITISH COLUMBIA, 175 x 29 x 11.9, purchased by Griffiths from Western Shipping Co. of Vancouver for the coastal ore trade.

1919: Sold to the Union Steamship Co. of Vancouver, who operated her as the CHILLIWACK. (Source: Newell, Gordon, ed. "The H.W. McCurdy Marine History of the Pacific Northwest." Seattle: The Superior Company, 1966)
