Description

This Mirid bug lives in damp meadows and feeds on gramineous sap. The colour changes upon season: bright yellow to green (early spring, after hibernation), ochre with dark stripes (late spring), brown (fall / autumn).

Diese Weichwanze lebt in feuchten Wiesen und saugt an verschiedenen Gräsern (Poaceae). Ihre Farbe ändert sich im Jahresverlauf von grün (nach der Überwinterung) über ocker mit dunklen Streifen (Sommer) bis braun (im Herbst). Arten der Gattung Notostira sind teils sehr ähnlich (z. B. Notostira elongata GEOFFROY, 1785 - ihnen fehlen jedoch die deutlichen Punktgruben auf dem Schildchen.
