Štěpán Gavenda (* 25 June 1920, Vizovice - 28 June 1954, Prague) was an active participant in the Third Resistance and worked as walking Agent.

Čeština: Štěpán Gavenda (* 25. června 1920, Vizovice - 28. června 1954, Praha) byl aktivní účastník třetího odboje a agent chodec. Za dobu své činnosti převedl přes československé hranice několik desítek lidí, vybudoval síť informátorů, pomáhal mapovat rozmístění ženijních zátarasů či získal seznam spolupracovníků Státní tajné bezpečnosti (StB) na Kyjovsku. Během své činnosti byl několikrát komunistickými orgány zadržen a za svou činnost byl dvakrát odsouzen k trestu smrti. Po prvním odsouzení k trestu smrti (později změněno na doživotí), se mu ale ze slovenského vězení podařilo uniknout a dostat se zpět do západního Německa. Při dalším přechodu do tehdejšího Československa byl opětovně zadržen a následně podruhé odsouzen k trestu smrti oběšením. Byl popraven dne 28. června 1954 v pražské věznici Pankrác. English: Štěpán Gavenda (* 25 June 1920, Vizovice - 28 June 1954, Prague) was an active participant in the Third Resistance and worked as walking Agent. During his activities he transferred several tens of people across the Czechoslovak borders, built a network of informers, helped map out the deployment of border barriers, or obtained a list of collaborators of the State Secret Security (StB) in Kyjov (in Moravia). During his activities he was detained several times by the communist authorities and was sentenced to death twice for his activities. After his first sentence to death (later changed to life imprisonment), he managed to escape from the Slovak prison and get back to the West Germany. During the next transition to the Czechoslovakia he was again detained and subsequently sentenced to death for the second time by hanging. He was executed on June 28, 1954 in Prague's Pankrác prison.
