Description |
English: A stone marker that reads, Stonewall Jackson Died, May 10, 1863, buried Lexington, VA, behind the marker is a one and a half story white building with A-frame roof during sunset, surrounded by a green field. The Jackson Death Site, formerly the Farifield Plantation farm office, is the only structure that stands today of what was once a large plantation complex. The building is most famous for being the location where Confederate General Stonewall Jakson died in May 1863. The marker in front of the building was place here by James Power Smith, a former member of Jackson's staff.
