  • Acht verhalen met handgekleurde illustraties rondom de teksten en een paginagrote tekening van een kinderschrik met een zak met kinderen op zijn rug en een roe in zijn hand. De ondeugden: luiheid, liegen, ongehoorzaamheid, ontevredenheid, ijdelheid, vechten en snoepen hebben vreselijke gevolgen. De afbeelding van de kinderschrik is ontleend aan 'Der Osterhas : eine Festgabe für Kinder in Bildern von Franz Pocci mit Reimen von Georg Scherer, 1850 (bron: Der Weinhnachtsmann / Martina Eberspächer, 2002)
