Summary
[edit]DescriptionStraßenbahn Gotha. Gotha Triebwagen nr 34 mit Beiwagen 94, Linie 2, Gotha. Aug 1991 Germany. - Flickr - sludgegulper.jpg |
Linie 2 was the dog-leg route north and east from the Hauptbahnhof to the Ostbahnhof. I think this is the crossing place on the single track section east towards the Ostbahnhof Advertising post-Wende has appeared on the motor car for the Thueringer Allgemeine (eine Stimme for Thueringen (a feel for Thuringia) . Trailer car is no 94. At this time, second hand West German trams had just started to appear, so these older locally made Gotha cars were on borrowed time.. They had only been repainted into the blue (town) livery comparatively recently Motor car no 34 was a 1968 Gotha T2D (finished by Tatra, tram production having been "directed" to occur in Czechoslovakia by central planning. Trailer no 94 was new in 1960 as a true Gotha B57 product. Both units were scrapped in 1992. |
