Description
Deutsch: In der Gartenstadt Staaken steht der Lauchhammer-Brunnen mit Fischmotiv (Typ I) und Tränkstein an der Ostecke des viereckigen als Marktplatz angelegten[1] Heidebergplans, Zufahrt zwischen Bordstein und einer Ziegelumrandung. Der Gartenstadt-Platz wird westlich von der Zeppelinschule (Nummer 3,4[2] begrenzt. Vormals 17. Gemeindeschule, dahinter der Kirchplatz und die evangelische Kirche. Der Brunnen gehört zu den um 1987 sanierten, restaurierten und ergänzten historischen Exemplaren. Neben der Jahreszahl auf einem Spiegel am Pumpenkopf ist auch der gegenüber eingegossene Schriftzug Schoening Berlin der entsprechende Beleg. Der Bunnen erfüllt an diesem Platz sowhl eine schmückende als auch seine Funktion als Teil der Notwasserversorgung für die Gartenstadt. Die Front der seitwärts liegenden Gebäude an der Ostseite entspricht den norddeutschen „Hanse“-Häusern mit ihren Giebeln zur Platzseite. Die Funktionalität des Brunnens wird durch die unter dem Wasseraustritt liegende Tränksteinplatte ergänzt. Das zugehörig Abflussrohr ist als Fisch verkleidet.
