Description |
English: Stones are scattered in a shallow stream, surrounded by sloping green banks. Knowledge of place names was an important aspect of traditional culture of the Inland Dena'Ina. Virtually every stream and major mountain or hill within their territory has a name, demonstrating their engagement with the landscape while they engaged in subsistence activities or traveled to other regions for trade.
