English: Swimmers at Green Lake, ca. 1914
Description
English: Green Lake has always been a popular place for Seattleites to go swimming. Starting in 1911, the city lowered the lake level and began filling in around the lakeshore. In 1914, a wooden bathhouse was built on the southwestern shore of the lake.

In this photo, taken around 1914, boys swim and fish near a wooden building on Green Lake.
