DIV." verso- "Turkish Officers sword - captured at A - - (by th 3rd - .) steel sword with brass hilt; bronze knuckle bow-stirrup guard with quillon on hilt, no sword slit; bronze hilt mounts; wooden grip with horizontal grooves; straight blade, double edged near point, no fuller; metal scabbard, end missing markings- arabic characters on side of blade (see card) measurements- overall length- 30 inches; blade length- 26 inches |
